NBC dumps Microsoft Silverlight after Olympics

NBC streamed all its NBCOlympics.com videos using Microsoft’s Silverlight backend tech, but the network dumped Microsoft before last night’s NFL kickoff — streamed live over NBCSports.com and NFL.com — opting to use Adobe Flash instead.

Una historia religiosa o Dos SysOps, un amo del camino

La siguiente historia ha sobrevivido años y años de alguna manera u otra. Según WaybackMachine esta página fue fechada 22 de mayo de 1997. Desafortunadamente muchos elementos de ese web ya están destruidos, pero todavía pude recopilar alguna información. En especial esta bonita Cronología.

La historia fue redactada por Roadmaster, sysop III de Coyoacán BBS.

Sirva la presente como un ejemplo de los esfuerzos que se hacían en México con la finalidad única de comunicarse y crear comunidades. Mucha gente piensa y cree que esos esfuerzos son nuevos y que ellos descubren apenas el hilo negro. No señores, el hilo no es nuevo. Mucho de lo aquí presentado sucedió cuando Internet estaba disponible solamente a través de la universidades.

Y yo salgo por ahí también!
